04 Jan Antequera hosts the 9th Falconry Days of Andalusia

From the 11th to the 14th of January, Antequera celebrates the 9th Falconry Days of Andalusia, with various exhibitions, conferences, and autonomic championships of arrogance with sample dog, under flight, sky trial and low flying F.A.C cup with sample dog.

Antequera returns to this month of January to the elite of national falconry on the occasion of the development of these days, in which 72 falconers from all over Spain participate. Noteworthy is the tribute to be made to the figure of the famous British expert Nick Fox through the presentation of the Prince Don Manuel Prize in Pro of the Falconry during the institutional events that will take place on the afternoon of Friday, January 12th in the Plenary Hall of the Municipality of Antequera and that will be open to all interested public.

The Exhibition Hall “Antonio Montiel” of the City Hall will also host on Friday a sample of paintings and sculptures related to Falconry, a tradition that can be remembered is considered as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO. Said exhibition will be moved during the weekend to the Hotel Antequera, place where other conferences will be hosted, as well as a commemorative dinner of the days on Saturday night 13rd and Sunday 14th in the flight field enabled in the Finca La Ferris wheel of the Los Llanos annex.
