The International Jazz Festival of Madrid, JAZZMADRID’17, will take place from 2nd to 30th November with the presence of great artists of this musical genre as well as new talents.
Picasso – Lautrec
The Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum presents a pictorial exhibition of the Parisian stage of Pablo Ruiz Picasso (Malaga, 1881 – Mougins, 1973), centered on the relationship between early Spanish work and that of Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec. October 18th-January 16th.
Krazy Kat is Krazy Kat is Krazy Kat. George Herriman
Outstanding cartoon author George Herriman (New Orleans, 1880-Los Angeles, 1944) stars in this exhibition in which he can admire a hundred of his works, from original drawings to periodicals from the time they were published.
October 17th-February 26th
Stage Entertainment, musical producer responsible for hits like The Lion King or Mamma Mia! premieres the musical The bodyguard in the heart of the Gran Vía in Madrid. A production based on the film starring Whitney Houston and Kevin Costner which includes songs from the feature film.Release September 29th
Billy Elliot, The Musical
After eleven years of continued success in London’s West End and six on Broadway, he arrives in Madrid in October 2017 Billy Elliot, El Musical, a theatrical adaptation of Stephen Daldry’s thrilling film with libretto and lyrics by playwright Lee Hall. A cast headed by Natalia Millán in the role of Miss Wilkinson, Carlos Hipólito as the father of Billy and Adrián Lastra playing Tony, brother of Billy. Release October 5th.
