07 Apr Las Tablas de Daimiel in Ciudad Real, a unique wetland
Land of windmills, Don Quixote, good cheeses and wines with Orogin Appellation…that’s Ciudad Real. A destination in which to enjoy not only culture, heritage and gastronomy, but also its nature. Today we are going to Tablas de Daimiel, a wetland declared a National Park in 1973 and a Biosphere Reserve in 1982.
This ecosystem, called fluvial tables, is produced by the overflow of the Guadiana and Cigüela rivers. It is the last representative of this type of ecosystem. Its ecological value, since species of all types coexist is high.
The visit can be in several ways: by your own; with interpreting guides, hikers, in 4×4, for families with children or in groups. A gift of nature that you can not miss on your getaway to Ciudad Real.
