10 Aug Literature, music and cinema in Leon

The city of Leon is much more than inland tourism, one of the main stops in The Way of Santiago, and gastronomy. It has an amazing architectural complex with a magic skyline characterized by the cosmopolitanism and the history; its people are also a main piece of its heritage. This city also offers a great cultural agenda that will make your days there!

On the next 14th and 15th August will take place an unique event for the literature lovers. Have you heard about the Bloomsday? Yes, that event dedicated to the Ulysses of Joyce which is celebrated in Dublin where its locals perform the plot of the novel. So, in Leon they have their own version of the Bloomsday, “El Día del Watusí”.

The Paseo de la Condesa de Sagasta will host during two days the third edition of this festival dedicated to the writer Francisco Casavella, the author of the novel “El Día del Watusí”. This piece of art is divided into three tomes and this edition is modelled on the third one: “El día imposible”. How many surprises will be waiting for us? By now we know that the agenda is full of activities for all audiences, from gastronomy activities until concerts, and much more.

And if you already have time and energy for more, you can check the programme of the cycle Music and Cinema in the Court of the MUSAC! An excellent alternative for the nights of August.
