13 Feb Puertollano Winter Festival

If you like rock, you have one more reason to make a trip to Puertollano (Ciudad Real) because this Saturday, February 17, this town in La Mancha hosts the Puertollano Winter Festival, with a luxury sign: Burning, The Mondragón Orchestra or The Buyakers, The Ruins Band, Sufre Mamón or Pantaliker, among others.

Prepare your getaway to Puertollano to enjoy good music and, in passing, discover a city that will surely leave you indifferent: a simple but charming city. There are proposals and plans for all tastes because this destination is rich in heritage, culture, nature, sports, gastronomy and leisure.

With a rich mining past present in many corners of the city, Puertollano also has an interesting architecture, with buildings such as the Bath House and the town hall building, its real jewel are the parks and green surroundings. The Botanical Garden, the Path of the Miners or the natural parks of the Valley of the Alcudia and the Sierra Madrona, are ideal options to disconnect and do a little exercise as well as enjoy the tranquility offered by the green surroundings. Without leaving nature, you can feel the adrenaline rushing through your veins on the MTB routes and the permanent 4 × 4 circuit near the Ojallén River.

Do not leave Puertollano without spending an afternoon on Paseo de San Gregorio and without tasting the water of its popular Fuente Agria and, of course, you have to go into one of its typical bars or taverns and try crumbs, flour porridge whistles, tiznao (a dish of cod with onion and red pepper), lamb stew or tumbalobos (an accompaniment based on bread crumbs and tomatoes).
