23 Jan Toledo, ideal for a shopping day
In addition to being a very attractive city at the cultural and heritage level, Toledo is also perfect for shopping with an attractive route through its stores that will delight those who like shopping.
The historic center of this city is full of traditional shops with resources and typical products such as damask, swords, knives, ceramics, marzipan…but also fashion and all type of articles. In any place it is possible to discover some of these stores, especially in monumental areas and the most important commercial axes, in this sense, they are the street Santo Tomé and its surroundings by the neighborhood of the Jewish quarter.
But undoubtedly the most prominent street for this type of entertainment is Calle Comercio, one of the busiest and with the most number of stores. It is here where the main pedestrian flow of the city is born until arriving at Trinidad street. In this area you can find establishments that offer you the best brands of clothes or, if you prefer, stores that offer all kinds of curious and even fun objects.
On the other hand, we have the Luz del Tajo Shopping Center which is located in the neighborhood of Santa María de Benquerencia, on the outskirts of the historic city. It has more than a hundred shops, restaurants, cafeterias, eight cinemas, leisure establishments and a large hypermarket, which meant an important change in the traditional conception of the city. The Architecture of Luz del Tajo respects the history of the city and is inspired by the fascination produced by the city’s own architecture, in a beautiful combination of ocher stone, glass and unbeatable light.
