27 Nov Valladolid: lots to see, enjoy and taste
Valladolid is land of good wine. With five appellations of origin, Cigales, Tierra de León, Toro, Rueda and Ribera del Duero, this city stands out for the quality of its wines, ideal to accompany its lamb, steak or cheeses, among other delicacies. But its cuisine beyond its spectacular dishes. It is a must stop on the route Tasting Spain and holds the title of Capital of the Tapa.
But Valladolid is not only synonymous of good wine and good food, it is also culture and history. It was the capital of the court of Philip II and the scene of the secret wedding of the Catholic Monarchs. A possessor of great architectural gems like the Cathedral city, the Church of the Old and the University, and with a powerful range of museums such as the National College of San Gregorio, Spanish Patio Herreriano Contemporary Art, the Museum of Science and Casa Museo de Colón, Zorrilla and Cervantes; as well as a variety of cultural and recreational activities.
This is a great destination to visit and enjoy, next December Long Weekend, its monumental, environmental and leisure and cultural and eno-gastronomic heritage.
